Not the base game, but the Call of Chernobyl mega mod. A couple monolith dudes were just chillin' behind some tables/counters, looking bored, until I took them out (with head shots, as required). I kind of noticed it, but at first I just thought bandits and Monolith could take a lot of damage in this mod for some reason.Īlso, in Pripyat, I saw that the main rec center was pretty much empty, so I decided to explore the basement, where I found was looked like a Monolith bar/shop/mechanic or something. at a table, kneeling, prone) they can only be hurt by head shots. So, I found that out by reading it online somewhere, but it seems that when NPCs are in some kind of animation/pose (e.g. Good thing NPCs seem to only be invulnerable except by head shots when they are in some kind of non-normal pose. The thing was wailing on some poor guy just trying to enjoy his drink alone. The two guys who joined me were only my friends because they watched me kill a controller that somehow spawned right in front of everybody inside the Skadovsk. Maybe Call of Chernobyl really likes to spawn controllers once you reach a certain point of time or accumulated money or something. The two guys with me helped out with the controllers but died from Monolith sniper fire, of all things, once we got back outside. I counted 31 controllers from the entrance to the CNPP interior level to the North exit from the plant to the generators area. I thought maybe that was it, but going through the plant, it was controllers all the way down. The ex-HQ of the Monolith was now a home to ~15 controllers, all together in the same area. All the Monolith corpses were still there littering the floor from my first visit, but now the plant was infested with controllers. The second time I went through the plant, I had with me a couple Loner friends I picked up at Beard's ship/tavern, the Skadovsk, in Zaton. When I went through the Chernobyl power plant the first time, some time ago, I had to fight through what appeared to be a Monolith HQ based out of the first largish room you encounter in the plant. I have all the documents from all the labs and underground areas from all of the STALKER games, and I'm on what I think is the last bit of the "story". I'm still playing a loner and following the very basic story objectives given in the game.

Playing more of the Call of Chernobyl mega mod.
